Tap into your creative side with our Beginners Candle Making Workshop where you will learn how to make your very own natural botanical candles with Rock & Rose Rituals.
Our 2 hour workshop with our founder Lisa includes all the equipment and materials required to create a beautiful candle of your choosing, totaling 50 hours of natural home fragrance.
Time: approx 2 hours
During the class Lisa will take you step-by-step through the candle making process. You will have the opportunity to smell and test a selection of fragrance and essential oils. She'll share hints and tips on the creation of the perfect fragrance for you/your loved one and for the important bit, you will make your own 180ml (50hr) scented coconut and rapeseed wax candle. The cost of the workshop is inclusive of all materials plus your finished candle.
All attendees learn:
The description of commonly used waxes and their pros and cons.
An Introduction to coconut and rapeseed wax, it’s benefits and a discussion on the different types of wax within the industry.
An overview of the different types of wicks.
Discussion about the different scent options of fragrance oils, essential oils and dried flower petals.
Step by step guide to the process of producing a container candle including measuring correct quantities of wax and scents required.
Choose, mix and measure own scent combinations.
Create and hand pour your very own container candle.
Discussion on how to fix ‘problems’ when making candles.

For those of you wanting a more personal beginners candle making class.
Classes are with our founder, Lisa Marie and we cover everything covered in our beginners group class but with full focus on you.
We are frequently told that our 1:1 classes are much more than a candle making class… we are told they can be quite alchemical.
Please note: this class is a beginners candle making class where we cover the basics of candle making. If you are seeking more in-depth training and mentoring with which to start your own candle brand and business, then our Candle Business Intensive Day is highly recommended, as we do not cover technicalities, testing, suppliers or the legal aspects of candle making in this class. This class is however perfect if you’re looking to “dip your toe” into chandlery to see if it is for you.
