Conkers Magical Earth Academy is a nature-inspired creative space where children are encouraged to explore imagination, confidence, and hands-on making in a calm, welcoming environment. Based in Upton Country Park, Dorset, and immersed in nature, our gentle setting makes our parties especially popular with highly sensitive and neurodivergent children who thrive in grounded, unhurried spaces.

Our parties are thoughtfully designed to blend creativity, storytelling, and gentle guidance. They are hands-on, inclusive, and carefully paced, giving children the space to create, feel proud of what they’ve made, and enjoy meaningful time with their friends.

Behind Conkers is a small, experienced team who truly understand children.

Our founder Lisa brings a background in children’s nursing at Great Ormond Street Hospital, years of experience as a children’s entertainer, and a creative career that includes running a specialist film and TV catering business for organisations such as Jamie Oliver, Netflix, Warner Film, and Google.

Monika is a former primary teacher specialising in highly sensitive and neurodivergent children, and the creator of Tales of Birkiwood. She is a gifted storyteller and imaginative guide.

Naomi has extensive experience working with neurodivergent and non-verbal young adults and is a qualified Forest School Leader. She brings storytelling, art, and song into her work with children.

Charlotte comes from a background in theatre, film, and TV set design and is a highly talented artist, bringing creativity, craftsmanship, and a sense of wonder to every session.

At Conkers, magic is part of everyday life. We know faeries are real, our academy is guarded by dragons, and we make plenty of space for invisible worlds to show themselves. Childhood imagination is something to be protected, celebrated, and given room to stretch its wings and we are here for precisely this!

Our sessions are gentle, child-led, and full of storytelling, making, and wonder. Surrounded by nature at Upton Country Park, children are invited to slow down, follow their curiosity, and create magic with their hands, their hearts, and their minds.

It is imperative to us that the magic of childhood stays alive and expansive. Here, children are free to believe, to imagine wildly, and to be exactly who they are, while feeling safe, supported, and joyfully at home... many children , in fact, have asked us if they can live here!

All our magical parties are suitable for children ages 3 to 300 - whether you’re a young Wizard Apprentice or a Master Alchemist, we are here to celebrate you!

Our magic is designed for children at heart. Little ones, big kids, parents, grandparents, and curious grown-ups are all welcome. Activities naturally adapt so everyone can join in at their own level, whether that’s full fairy immersion, thoughtful crafting, or simply enjoying the wonder.

Potions Only: £190 - 2 hour party: 1 hour masterclass and an hour to enjoy food and birthday cake.

Potions & Magic Wand Making: £282 - 3 hour party: 2 hours of masterclasses and 1 hour to enjoy food and birthday cake.

Our standard package is for up to 10 young wizards and 2 hours use of our magical space of our space (1 hour masterclass, one hour for food/cake). If opting for potions and wand making, you have the space for up to 3 hours, with 2 hours of entertainment.

Includes all materials, equipment and props and each child gets to keep and take home their own potion in a special potion bottle and one of our much-coveted Potion Master certificates… of which there are 7 levels should they wish to continue on with their wizarding journey, long after the party ends!

All products are completely natural, biodegradable and plant based.

What ages are your parties suitable for?
Our parties are for ages 3 to 300. In practical terms, they work beautifully for children aged 3–12, but we’re experienced in guiding mixed-age groups and adapting activities so everyone can join in at their own level.

Are your parties suitable for highly sensitive or neurodivergent children?
Yes. Many families come to us for this very reason. Our parties are calm, gently paced, and held in a nature-immersed space. There is no loud music, no pressure to perform, and plenty of room for children to engage in ways that feel comfortable for them.

How many children can attend a party?
Our standard packages are for up to 10 children, however we can accommodate up to 16 in our space. If your numbers are over 10, simply add the amount of extras on the booking form.

What happens during the party?
Children are guided through a magical experience that includes storytelling, creative making, gentle spells or rhymes, and plenty of imaginative play. Depending on the party chosen, they will create either a magic potion or a wand (or both!) to take home.

Do you provide everything needed?
Yes. All materials are provided, including potion bottles, wand-making supplies, certificates, and a small magical gift for the birthday child. You simply bring the children and a sense of wonder.

Will my child take something home?
Absolutely. Every child leaves with their own magical creation, a Potion Master certificate where applicable, and a special surprise gifted by the faeries, dragons, unicorns, or mermaids.

Do you provide food?
We don’t provide food directly. Families are welcome to bring their own lunch or snacks, or you can arrange lunch boxes through Upton Park Café at a discounted rate. Please contact them directly to book on 01202 128700.

Are parents expected to stay?
This depends on the age of the children and your preference. Younger children often feel happiest with parents close by, while older children are usually comfortable being left in our care. We’re happy to advise and often parents like to chill in our on-site cafe, or in our garden, weather permitting!

Where do the parties take place?
All parties are held in our enchanting space at Conkers Magical Earth Academy, set within Rock & Rose Rituals in Upton Country Park, Dorset, surrounded by nature.

How do I book?
Simply complete our booking form, and select the party package you want, plus any additions, make the payment and you are all booked in!
