The 2-Day 1:1 Candle Business Intensive is a private, in-depth mentoring experience with Rock & Rose Rituals founder Lisa Marie. Across two full days, six hours per day, you will be guided through every practical, creative, and commercial element required to build, price, and launch your own candle brand.

Rock & Rose Rituals creates luxury, natural scented candles sold directly to customers and also produces own-brand candles for high-end luxury businesses. This intensive is built from real experience: product testing, mistakes made and corrected, systems refined, and a brand grown from scratch into a commercially successful operation.

If you attend in Dorset, the studio is nestled among the trees at Upton Country Park, minutes from the sea. The environment is calm, grounded, and ideal for clear thinking and focused creation. This matters more than you think when you are making foundational business decisions.

What you will master

First, candle making done properly.

You will work hands-on with natural waxes, wicks, vessels, and fragrances. You will learn how to formulate candles that burn cleanly, smell beautiful, and perform consistently. This includes scent selection, blend ratios, wick pairing, jar choice, and finish quality so your product feels and performs like a premium candle, not a craft-market experiment.

Second, troubleshooting with confidence.

Most candle businesses fail quietly at this stage. Poor burn, weak scent throw, tunnelling, frosting, inconsistency batch to batch. You will learn how to diagnose and fix these issues, not guess your way through them. By the end, you will know how to test properly and how to trust your results.

Third, testing systems and compliance.

You will be guided through proper testing methodology, safety requirements, and documentation so you can trade confidently. Legal compliance is covered clearly and practically, without overwhelm, so you know exactly what is required and why.

Fourth, pricing for profit, not burnout.

You will break down your real costs: materials, time, packaging, overheads, and margin. Together, you will set pricing that makes sense commercially and energetically, so your business can grow rather than drain you.

Fifth, suppliers and sourcing.

You will receive a curated list of trusted suppliers for waxes, fragrances, jars, packaging, and labelling. No endless internet searching. No wasting money on poor materials. You start with solid foundations.

Sixth, branding that actually sells.

This is not about a pretty logo alone. You will define your brand positioning, ideal customer, aesthetic direction, and product range so everything feels coherent and intentional. You will leave knowing how to present your candles as a luxury product people want to buy.

Seventh, marketing and launch strategy.

You will cover practical marketing that works now: how to sell online and in person, how to price for wholesale or own-brand work, how to talk about your candles without sounding like everyone else, and how to launch without waiting for “perfect”.

Eighth, CRM and simple systems.

You will be shown how to organise orders, customers, stock, and repeat sales using clear, manageable systems. This is about freeing your time, not creating complexity.
